I realized pretty early on in life that I’d much rather be behind a camera rather than in front of it (though my friends who’ve been subjected to my demands for selfies may disagree…)
Once when I was on a trip with my family, someone saw me taking pictures of some building or another. He came up to me and told me: “Do you know an easy way to make any picture a hundred times better? Put someone in it.”
Those words have stuck with me. I still like taking pictures of buildings, nature, food, etc. - but I’m happiest when I’m taking pictures of people.
